He’s currently serving at Vineyard of Harvest as an English Ministry Church Planter. He pastors a Chinese Vineyard’s English Ministry in Ontario, California. Although he is currently working and serving out in the Inland Empire, his heart is for the city – LA.
He has had experience leading a High School Ministry for four years and a Jr. High Ministry for two years. He’s also been the lead for several mission teams to the tribal areas of Taiwan. He’s passionate about preaching and teaching but secretly wants to be a magician.
Jonathan is a self-proclaimed theological slut in that he takes his theology from many traditions. He is essentially Reformed, Charismatic (with a seat belt), Missional, and Kingdom in thought. From the Reformers he appreciates their soteriology and there emphasis on historical-redemptive preaching. From the Charismatics he appreciates the importance and proper place of the experiential within the Christian faith. From the missional camp, he firms believes into moving towards the world. It is about going and not attracting. Highly influenced by George Eldon Ladd, he desires to see the in future realities of the Kingdom of God breaking into the world today (justice, peace, holiness, joy, wholeness, etc).

This Blog: This is my personal blog. The views, words, posts, thoughts, rants, visions, and ideas represented here are my own, not those of Vineyard of Havest, VOHEMO, my family, my Asian counterparts, the USA of which I am a citizen, or the totality of the Christian faith and community. As I spew out some vomitaceous thoughts for conversation, connection, amusement, and critical discourse, I seek to grant and receive grace.
