Siempre Kids – Orphanage in TJ, Mexico

I had a chance to head down to Mexico with Eric Jong and Eric Dent to visit an orphanage (Siempre Kids). Eric Dent is a pastor in Riverside, California and they’re responsible for setting up this orphanage. The take weekly visits down to the orphanage and continually fund new building/adoption projects. The church is dedicated to not build a big church but to make a difference in the world. Their church is a couple of blocks away from Greg Laurie’s church but they continue to live out the mission of God.

One of my heroes right now is Pastor Eric Dent. His commitment is the  mission of God. He shared stories of how some of parents of the kids tried to sell the kids into sex trafficking rings or domestic slave rings. Each of the orphans have heart breaking stories but at the same time, Siempre Kids brings a place of hope and demonstrates what it means to be a Kingdom Place.

More than the stories, I was totally blown away by the love that the staff showed each one of the kids. I was also blown away by the love that the kids had for each other. I’m totally looking forward to a future partnership with Central Community Church and Siempre Kids.
